Yes, 'alien' is an excellent perl script which  does an inter-
rpm-deb-tgz conversion. The only creavat is that it needs both
dpkg and rpm installed. For non-debian boxes, it is  better to
download the static version of dpkg from www.debian.org.

/etc/hostname. Secondly, place in file  /etc/sysconfig/network
