IIRC, this is the second time I am seeing this post in the
last few days. I have no personal experience with XP. However,
Windows are of two types, one which is the 9x type which can
be handled with lilo/ loadlin, and the other being NT/ Win2k
type, which can be easier dual-booted through the NT loader.

I am not sure which of these subtypes XP comes under, or is it
a seperate devil altogether. If they come withing the 9x or NT
groups, you may try out the techniques used for these OSs for
a dual boot with Linux. Try the following HOWTOs:

o Linux+Win95 (mini-HOWTO)
o Linux+NT-Loader (mini-HOWTO)
o Loadlin+Win95 (mini-HOWTO)

I have two How-Do-I documents on my home page for dual boot
set up under loadlin, and also a NT-loader installation. You
may visit: http://geocities.com/usmbish/

If you successfully manage to install XP+Linux, please share
your experience with us ... this area needs documentation.

Hoping to keep this thread alive.

Formatting a DOS-16 bit partition in Linux:
a) Through Linux fdisk mark the partion predesignated for DOS
   FAT-16 as Type 4 (if it is < 32 mb) or Type 6 (if > 32 mb).
b) mkdosfs (man mkdosfs for details). The minimum options are:
   #mkdosfs -c -f FAT-16 -n volume-label /dev/hdxN
