Include the directory in your PATH (in the .profile or .bash_profile file
located in your HOME directory if you only want it for one user, or in the
/etc/profile file if you want to set it globally).

Then log out and re-login.

Your scripts should run then. This is one way out, but a better way would be
to dump your scripts in /usr/bin.
