For this type of system, it is best to boot through
NT/ XP, and modify the "boot.ini" file for a multi-
menu. The method of doing this is given in:

o Linux+NT-loader (mini-HOWTO)

I have a HDI (How-Do-I) doc on similar lines on my
home page. It describes the process under NT. From
the list I learnt a few days ago, that XP is more
of a cousinn of NT than 9x. Never tested it on XP.
However, the following technique may help:

To know the contents of a deb file, if you have dpkg installed
fire Midnight Commander (mc) ... Just press enter on the .deb
file in mc and you have all the contents of the .deb file ...
Then you can copy all the stuff from one pane to another in
some directory. Same thing applies to .tar.gz and rpm files ..
provided rpm, tar and gzip are installed.
