Hi all I am trying to install pcq linux 7.1 on a newly brough p-iv 1.5 ghz machine with originial intel motherboard and 40gb seagate hdd.
After booting from cd rom , and message running anaconda, installation is killed with mesg. install exited abnormally --recieved signal 11 and then it unmount all the file system and wait for hard reboot. on the third virtual console i get some error mesgswhich say ging to insmod raid0.o (path is NULL) error -21232 (some number) reading header cpio: read failed - Success I got same two lines repeated for ins raid1.o raid5.o msdos.o vfat.o and ext3.o Please tell me what is going on? Same cd can install linux on other machine with i810 motherboard. What i could figure out is , some thing wrong with motherboard bios configuration which is needed to be changed.
