The sis 6326 is an old card now, it has its own set of drivers on X4.0.x and above, please try to configure from the inside, but remeber that on an Sis card (6326), although the display is quite good, the 8Mb of vram will not be used,only 4Mb is used. Try, configuring it manually, using, xf86config, and also, on redhat systems the command setup should helpyou do the setup fairly successfully, please enable the framebuffer support and you display is radically imrpoved, also use startx -- -bpp 16 , but this unnecessary if you add the line, depth 16/24 which ever you want in your configuration file. I also have the same card and works great except the ram bit every thing is fine. -shyam
