Hi, Has anybody installed Red Hat 7.1 on a P-4 machine with Intel 845 motherboard. Are there any problems with X on the above motherboard ?

You need to have "svgatextmode" package installed fo that. It will work on console only ... It will not work under X (i.e. xterm or rxvt).
