Bish said earlier... " IIRC, the original post stated that he could not play audio CDs. That does not need mounting ... I have a feeling that may be the reason that he is getting the problem of "wrong FS type" ... trying to mount an audio CD will result in the error described.
Just place the audio CD and see if programs like workbone or cdplay works. The permissions for /dev/audio is 666. Bish " Thanx a ton. I WAS trying to mount an audio cd.
