Pl. Consider these opinions as *mine* and not of my employer.

Where did you get the idea that StarOffice is not going to be free (as
in beer)? The s/w continues to be free for download but the
distribution, support and services would be charged, especially for the
corporates/small business who are now seeing the light and going for
this product (they _need_ support).
Moreover, openoffice.org would be getting the source code of StarOffice
for porting, standard APIs etc.

Whats the difference? read this.
