Hi, I am these days alwys thinking to make a solution in Linux for Installing different OSes.
I mean to Install an OS (windows95/98/NT/2000/Solaris/Linux/ etc) on a client machine on the LAN, there should be some Linux server running all the Disk Images through NFS /Samba etc, there should be a set of boot disks with the required Ethernet card driver with standard ones supported. And once I boot using those floppies, I should get a menu kind of to choose an operating system to install. Actually in our office, we have disabled all CD drives ( for security reasons) on all 250-300 systems and Installing different OSes in them is real hectic. you have to connect a CD drive, get the required CDs maually start etc etc (though they are all on LAN with all required servers running like....NFS/samba/DNS/DHCP/ftp/and even several OS servers for Solaris/Install Server for Windows 2000 professional etc) But I wanted a common solution as the Solaris Intel versions are not easily supported. Suggestions??
