Don't know much about RH, but if it is an X program, both Slack and Debian have oldlibs5 and oldlibs6 compat libraries which can be in- stalled concurrently. Needed for things like WP8. Surely, there is going to be somthing like oldlibsN-compat.rpm somewhere ... RH folk can throw more light on this ...
