Yes ... but this guy is going about the whole process all wrong ... it's
the person who is developing the app that should be giving him the specs
of the machine that it should be running on... he's not even told us what
language the app has been written in... or if it's even going to be web
based or if there are going to Front ends installed on each machine.

Yes if it's in php/perl no problems ... but if it's going to be in Java ..
then he's going not going to get much of a performance out of a low speed
box.

I don't see him gaining anything useful from this thread .. except *maybe*
learn to ask "smart questions" TM
