Hi Srikant, Though I never used PQ Linux, I think it is derived from RH7.x To pin down the cause of ur problem, u do the following check
1. Any firewall is running or not #ipchains -L #iptables -L 2. If no firewall is blocking the telnet port, then check whether telnet server is installed or not. 3. If telnet server is installed, then check whether Telnet server is running or not. 4. If telnet server is not running, then from toplevel util "setup" in RH, u can configure ur system to start telnet service at start up.
