Hi,

Past 10-15 days have been hell for me.
I have to reinstall my linux box after it crashed and
have lost most of data. Fortunately, I had the backup
of all my configuration files.

Since my PCQ Linux Cds were also not workable, I had
to use Caldera Open Linux Workstation 3.1, distributed
with PCQ Dec 2001 issue.

For configuring sendmail with fetchmai, I used
install-sendmail-5.5 perl script. I had earlier used
it successfully.

After configuring fetchmail, I ran it as
fetchmail -e10
and it downlaoded some 93 mails from my yahoo account,
but when I ran mutt, to my surprise it didn't showed
me any new mails, while the old mailboxes were all OK
and my procmail receipies and .procmailrc files were
all OK and in proper directories.

When I carefully checked the mutt opening screen, I
found that it was giving no mailbox for the user on
the bottom most line.
I checked /var/spool/mail and found that in Caldera it
was a soft link to /var/mail and then I checked
/var/mail, but found that there were no directories in
that.

So I created manualy a directory - ajitabhpandey for
myself(login name ajitabhpandey) and changed the owner
to ajitabhpandey.

But still the same problem.

Fetchmail is properly downloading the mails but where
is it storing them???

I am polling for mail from my own login, which should
not pose any problems as earlier I had done it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Suresh, are you there?

Regards.
Ajitabh Pandey
