Hi I was going thr. postgres bechmarks for fine tuning and it occurred to me. Since postgres is doing it's own caching, turning file system caching for that partition should help a bit improving postgres performance.
I read some mount docs. Will asychronous I/O do that? I would like to see if it attributes to any improvements. Need I tune bdflush for that? May be I should read it over week end..
