for the 1st time i m going to setup a lan based on a leased connection (T1 type). Ppl have recommended me to go in for a Hardware router. I was wondering which router should i go in for?
Also, I had read that Linux can be setup as a router. could some1 tell me how? the bandwidth i m trying to buy is around 256 kbps which would later be upgraded to 516kps. If i buy a hardware router of 2 Mbps i can easily upgrade from 256 kbps to 512 kbps. but on linux routers, i was wondering what device would be used to take the input of my 215 or 516 kbps bandwidth? also, if possible guide me with proper hardware and software too.
