It's true.In fact at one time it worked in linux too but later on it
stopped working in linux.It used to give the same error that the OP
mentioned "Returning not OK" with wvdial.I combed the net to find a
solution but no go.I tried stuff like AT&F0 etc. to return the modem to
factory defaults but that too did not help.
