of course it is. you don't write the append line again. you just add extra parameters at the end of that same line. here's the relevant line from my lilo.conf: <snip> append="devfs=mount hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi" </snip> > How do I manage scsi emulation for both hdc & hdd. in above manner. > Also , the cdrdao manpage is pretty crytic (at least to me) so can anyone > point me to some links for use of cdrdao,(there are no links fro the website > except fpr one example) or can someone post what I should use at the cli to > > 1. copy a cd from hdc to hdd well, i posted this once, but since you didn't read that, i'll post it again. this is a cut-and-paste from an earlier mail. <snip> it turned out that that was the answer. added ide-scsi simulation for hdc(cdrom) in addition to hdd(cdrw) in lilo.conf and re-ran lilo. rebooted. i had a new scsi device! just a few minor changes to be made, including re-directing the symlink /dev/cdrom (needed for eject, cdp and mplayer in my case). cdrdao is working perfectly now, with cd-to-cd copy (any cd to any cd, including vcd-s) and everything else. follow the above steps and download cdrdao, and you'll be able to copy vcd-s. the commandline i now use for cd-to-cd copy is (will wrap): cdrdao copy -n --source-device /dev/scd0 --source-driver generic-mmc --device /dev/scd1 --driver generic-mmc --on-the-fly --speed 8 if you add the "--save" option to the above commandline, most important options like devices, drivers, speed etc. will be saved to ~/.cdrdao, and you won't need to mention them on subsequent uses. </snip> > 2. write a multisession cd. dunno, haven't tried it yet. let us know if you succeed. - t. _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
