I think that was a bug in mount version which though the fs is mounted as
ext3 shows it as ext2.
Just yesterday I installed RH 7.2 with ext3 fs. I have not checked if what
you are saying is happening at my end too. Will give you feedback regarding
this tonight.
However I tried manually pressing reset button while RH 7.2 was booted and
ext3 worked OK.
