Or still easier,

mount /dev/hda* /mnt/cdrom -t iso9660
Where
/dev/hda* is your cdrom,
/mnt/cdrom an existing directory.
You may ommit -t option if your mount version detects the fs automatically.

This way you go much closer to your PC ;-)

Do `ls -la /dev/cdrom` it should be symlink to /dev/hdc etc. If it's not,
create one as root. I hope you know what devices are called when they are
attached to particular IDE slot.
