I have a athlon 850 w/ 128 m ram w/ 40 gb hdd. I have reloaded rh 7.2 on this machine.
On booting up a quick message saying something like time-skew flits across the screen just before the login prompt appears. I could not find this error message in either dmesg or in /var/log/boot.log. Also, when I give a halt command, the machine comnes to a point and hangs. I have to use the reset switch. The last message that is shown is : Init: no more processes in this level. on rebooting, the partitions are shown as not having been cleanly unmounted and an integrity check is run.
