We have a full time/contract position open for programmer/administrator

Please note this position is currently being held by a single person and
any applicant for the position should have mastered most if not all the
areas mentioned below.
All applicant should be agreeable to relocate to Gurgaon. Candidates in
Delhi(NCR) will be preferred.

Administrators :
Web : 1. Configuring and optimizing mod_perl enabled Apache - should be
comfortable with mod_perl handlers.
2. Securing and optimizing RedHat 7.2 for production use.
3. Comfortable in interacting with hosting service providers.
4. Optimizing MySQL/PostGreSQL for use with Apache for production use.
5. Working knowledge of ePerl/EmbPerl.
Database administrators : 1. Very well conversant with managing MySQL
and PostGreSQL for production use.
2. Optimizing RedHat 7.2 for use with MySQL and PostGreSQL as database
servers.
3. Maintaining access controls and priviledges on both kind of servers.
4. Maintaining and optimizing Oracle 8i for use with RedHat 6.2
Network Administrator : 1. Managing a hybrid network of Linux
(RedHat/Debian) and Windows (9x/Me/NT/2000/XP)
2. Maintaining a network consisting of database servers, mailservers,
webservers, firewall, proxy.
3. Keeping the network Virus free and implementing any necessary
policies in that context.
4. Configuring IPCHAINs/IPTABLES and Squid ACL's.
5. Patching and keeping the windows clients updated on a regular basis.
6. Being a one point contact for all network related issues for the
regional offices.
7. Managing DNS servers.
8. Regular backup using Amanda.
9. Configuring Routers for use with leased line and backup ISDN line
with minimum downtime.
10. Good knowledge of Perl and shell scripting.
Mail administrator : 1. Maintaining and configuring Qmail based mail
servers.
2. Managing POP access based on Vmailmgr.
3. Should be very well conversant with Amavis+McAfee Scan for Unix.
Programmers :
mod_perl Programmer : 1. Experience with mod_perl/ePerl/Embperl on Linux
with backend databases consisting of MySQL(3.x) / PostGreSQL(7.x) /
Oracle(8.x).
2. Configuring and optimizing Apache+mod_perl.
3. Should have written mod_perl handlers.
4. Should have functional knowledge of valid HTML specifications.
5. Javascript/Shell scripting and understanding of RedHat based systems
will be considered a plus point.
