Okay I am asking this again on the list because Google, for once, has not helped. Searching for multisesson Cds on google merely points you to one of two categories of answers: 1. more people asking how to write multisession CDs and 2. some links to gui frontends which are supposed to write multisession CDs.
All gui's finally use cdrecord and cdrecord won't write multisession CDs under kernel 2.4.x and the author of cdrecord will not help, he will not even suggest a workaround. I have tried gcombust, koncd, xcdroast, gcdmaster; all balk at multisession CDs. I have to daily backup ~20 mb and doing it on a new cd everyday is a waste IMHO. Is there any other way out other than to use CDRW media, which I am doing at present. I remember someone mentioning on the list that he had been doing multisession cds, but the list archive does not throw up this link. regards, Sharukh. -- Dr. Sharukh K. R. Pavri.
