There may be some problem with the burning .. I am not quite
sure, but I feel, it may have something to  do  with  joliet
extn for bootable Slackware CDs. Need to check this out ...

I suppose you may still be able to use it if  there  are  no
other errors. Make a boot and root disk set, from the images
best supporting your hardware. Boot from these  and  install 
from CD.
