[ I have not got any mail from the list for the last 3 days. Any problems
with the list ???? ]

Hi,

We have purchased a new server for our Linux based development work, which
has an original Intel Board with eepro100 onboard network adapter. I have
installed Redhat 7.2 on it.

What happens is initially on boot if I ping any ip on the lan, (say ping
our email server), it works. However if I try to ftp something or telnet
and work on the other system, after around 1 or 2 minutes the communication
between this server and the lan stop. I get the following error on the
console.

eepro100: wait_for_cmd_done timeout!

What could be the possible reason for this ? We have got a similar server
with similar onboard network adapter but using RH 6.2 and there everything
works fine. No problems. Anybody with the above card on RH 7.2 faced the
same problem ?

Any help will be very useful.

Thanks in advance.

Peace
