Firstly, wvdialconf actually recognized my modem and
was able to communicate with it, although kppp and
network configuration still is not able to do so.
So I think there is some hope for my modem

Secondly, when I had option to use dialog/wizard in
kppp, by mistake I chose wizard after selecting the
'dont show this again' option. So I am basically stuck
now. I cant configure my dialup using the wizard as it
has only predefined ISP's, and I cant go to the dialog
since I clicked on the dumb option.

Now, I really really really need to know how to use
the dialog. Somebody please help me out.

Rant : Where the hell does kppp keep its configuration
script.

Also bish, here is the output of dmesg | grep tty

ttyS00 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
ttyS01 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A
