Hi all,

I am running RedHat 7.1 with kernel 2.4.3-12 (provided by PCQ). I tried to
upgrade the kernel to 2.4.9-34 by downloading the following RPMs from (
www.redhat.com/support/errata/rh71-errata.html ):

1) kernel-2.4.9-34.i686.rpm
2) kernel-headers-2.4.9-34.i386.rpm
3) kernel-doc-2.4.9-34.i386.rpm
4) kernel-source-2.4.9-34.i386.rpm
5) modutils-2.4.13-0.7.1.i386.rpm ( to satisfy dependancy)
6) e2fsprogs-1.26-1.71.i386.rpm ( to satisfy dependancy)
7) e2fsprogs-devel-1.26-1.71.i386.rpm
8) mkinitrd-3.2.6-1.i386.rpm ( to satisfy dependancy)
9) filesystem-2.1.0-2.1.noarch.rpm ( to satisfy dependancy)
10) tux-2.2.0-1.i386.rpm ( to satisfy dependancy)

I could upgrade the kernel by applying the above RPMs. But, the problem is
that, after upgradation, I cannot access the LAN from my system (can't even
ping). Also, none of the PCs in the LAN can access the system. But I can
ping my own IP without error.

What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance,
Rajesh K.R.
