I have pixelview playtv pak. It works well for viewing tv using xawtv, kwintv,
zapping in linux. However for capturing still I am searching for good
software in linux. A few capture video. but sound sync is a problem. It
doesn't have TV out. It comes with a webcam that can be connected to the
card itself. But it doesn't have driver in linux. It has remote once again
having a connection from card. Here I will suggest that when you go for a
card, look for one that doesn't ask for a free serial port for connecting
remote. I am given to understand that a few pixelview and also few
pinnaclesys cards coonect remote via serial port. For video capturing I use
windows. I am waiting to get MPlayer records with sound from v4l device in a
future version.
