Hi Chandra,
Finally i downloaded dc395 scsi adapter from terram's site and rebuild the kernel. Now
it is working..
when i insmod these are the /var/log/messages

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Oct 2 23:38:08 backup kernel: DC395x (TRM-S1040): 1 adapters found
Oct 2 23:38:08 backup kernel: scsi0 : Tekram DC395U/UW/F DC315/U V1.32, 2000-12-02
Oct 2 23:38:10 backup kernel: Vendor: HP Model: C5683A Rev: C005
Oct 2 23:38:10 backup kernel: Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI
revision: 02
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Now can you discuss something about tape formatting, what kind of tool do you use to
take backup on tape, can i use a fresh tape as it is ? i have zero experience with
these tape backups. :)

Thanks & regards
-Yash
