after switching to debian woody, xawtv is not maximising fully like it
did when i was on mandrake 9. i was careful about configuring the
related modules exactly as they were on mandrake, and all the modules
are loading correctly, as far as i can see. there is one difference,
however. when i am loading the "v4l" module in XF86Config-4, xawtv is
unable to show anything. the screen becomes an array of colourful,
shifting vertical stripes. this problem wasn't there on mandrake. it had
a different version of X - 4.2, as opposed to woody's 4.1.
can anybody suggest a solution?
