Yes. Need to know the POP3 & SMTP address of the email server and the port address if not standard.If some users in our organization want to download mails from their other pop3 accounts using windows email client using the DSL connection is it possible somehow ?
This is what I do with rediffmail. I have Mozila on RHL. I have created a account with pop.rediffmail.com for incoming address & smtp.rediffmail.com for outgoing. Now I access this account directly from my desktop. Windows clients aren't any different.
No fetchmail won't do the job. At present they have got modem and aYes. Fetchmail can do the job. It can be configured to get mail from multiple pop3 a/cs and put them in the users mail boxes. U can configure who gets & who doesn't.

Again Yes.Since now we have a DSL connection, can those mails be downloaded by those users directly on their PC using this DSL connection.
Everything depends how you configure your network, firewall, mail & clients.
