Follow the advice on the Intel site. You need to change the Video Memory 
setting in Bios and you can get 1024X768 in 16-bit. But its not perfect 
(namely, onec you go switch the graphics mode or go from graphics to text 
mode, it will not come back to graphics mode). If you can work with 
development version of XFree86 the problem shoule go away. I have not had the 
time to try it out.
