Today I finally succeeded in getting my PC to send fax. I am able to send fax through kde (using kdeprintfax), and thru 'fax send <fax no> <file name>', from the command line.
But I had trouble with 'lpr -Pfax <fax no> <file name>', for which I follwed the mini-how-to for fax server. The trouble is that there is no response from the modem. Settings in the /etc/efax.rc file is the same as that for /usr/bin/fax which is being used by 'fax send', so why does the modem not respond for the fax server ? Any other settings needed, which is not mentioned in the how-to ? Suggestions please, Thanks and regards, -K.Ghosh ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: FREE SSL Guide from Thawte are you planning your Web Server Security?
