i don't exactly remember, but yu'll need to download j2re from
java.sun.com. i downloaded j2re-1_4_1_01-linux-i586.bin from there, then
installed it by
#./j2re-1_4_1_01-linux-i586.bin

then, to link the plugin to mozilla, in the mozilla plugin directory
(/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins or whichever directory yu've that installed -
do a search by "locate mozilla|more") i linked it

[EMAIL PROTECTED] plugins]# ln -s
/path/where/j2re/installed/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so

close all your browser windows. then check your sites with java. and to
know what plugins are there, in mozilla location bar, type about:plugins
and it'll list all your plugins which are activated.
