Hi Listers, I am unable to view websites like www.webulagam.com (tamil) or www.thatsmalayalam.com (Malayalam) in Indian vernacular languages in Linux. I use RH 7.3 / MDK 9.0 . I tried browsing in Konqueror, Opera and netscape too. In Netscape I went to edit--preferences--fonts , and I set it to use dynamic fonts, including doument specified fonts. But all of this to no avail.
But not only in Linux, but even in Windows, I am able to view these sites only thru IE. When I access the site for the first time, it took a long time, probably because the fonts were downloading and getting installed. I tried copying all the fonts in windows fonts directory to linux and making a fonts directory and installing it and pointing it also. Still that did not help. How to do the same thing in Linux ? If I am able to do this, my browsing time in IE will get considerably reduced.
