Hotmail has likely stopped accepting connections from "open proxies"
because of extensive spam issues where spammers / crackers keep
attacking their servers from these.
2.3 is like really, really old - and has a lot of security holes. Go
upgrade - then check to see if hotmail is blocking you. If so, you have
to mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask them to unblock you.
