We stopped using Osirusoft a helluva while back because of incompetent dns handling by them ... dns delegation issues, stale zones etc. Plus they are under an extremely heavy DDoS attack for the past several weeks - looks like at least one of the osirusoft nameservers, or the whole osirusoft zone, decided to shut down for the moment. What we do is find the zones served by osirus and source them direct from the zone's publishers (spews, sbl etc are all available separately, as well as being combined as a part of osirus). You might want to check out http://spfilter.sourceforge.net or Michael Tokarev's rbldnsd (upgraded version of djb's rbldns - cr.yp.to/djbdns/rbldns.html - google for it / search tokarev's website, which is linked to regularly on postfix-users) These help you aggregate lots of these zones locally and query them locally ... saves you a lot of dns latency issues. --srs ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
