Hi I installed Slack9 recently in a seperate partition ( I already have RH9). Setup spamassassin and installed sylpheed.
I use fetchmail in RH so that it filters spam through spamassassin and I thought I will use the same in Slack. I gave the following command "fetchmail -u "myname" -p pop3 mail.vsnl.com It accessed the mail server alright but did not flush the mails. Error message was SMTP Error 451 4.1.8 the sender address [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesnot resolve But the same command used in RH9 effortlessly retrieves the mails , filters it through spamassassin and puts them in /var/spool/mail/srikanth which I read with sylpheed. The spam goes to "caughtspam". What is to be done in Slack9? What mistake I committed? or What other extra options to be given to fetchmail command in Slack?
