if you are using higher resolution with bigger monitor, there may be a slowdown. assuming everything else is of same configuration. but with same resolution even on a bigger monitor, i dont think there should be a slowdown.

Subject: [LIH]Monitor Vs. System speedDear friend,
Is the system slows down for larger size monitors? I have a 17" monitor. The system gets slow at some times, for example, the Open office opening takes a little time to come. Is it because my monitor is larger (than 15"). I have a PC at home which is 15" and is not that slow as my office PC which is 17" monitor.
Probably you home machine has faster CPU/Disk and/or more RAM than office machine. That is the reason OO works bit fast there.
