i saw the sql-ledger site, as far as i can see it is a web based
application. however, if yu've seen the accountants in the country, they
are a lot comfortable in a tally type interface where they just need to
use a few keystrokes to get desired reports and send a print of the
same. they're pretty efficient on a keyboard based interface and many
also have old dos based machines to do the accounting.
an application like sql-ledger maybe used for personal information
management than a commercial accounting scenarios. just my personal
opinion as i've absolutely no idea about accounting and stuff.
