i posted this on this list some time ago. since there was no response then, i am posting it again.
i am looking for the config file that will let me execute local commands on bootup *after* running the runlevel scripts. the SuSE admin manual only mentions /etc/init.d/boot.local, but that runs *before* the runlevel scripts, which will not do in my case because the command i am trying to run is dependent on one of the runlevel services. mandrake had /etc/rc.d/rc.local for this purpose, iirc, but i can find no equivalent on SuSE, which is otherwise an excellent distro. this is the only gripe i have till date after changing over from mdk. SuSE experts, please help. - t. -- cogito, ergo es. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
