Hello! I have a doubt; I want to be able to change my Linux installation without losing my personal files (all of which are in my $HOME). Now, the easy answer would be to create a seperate partition for /home and mount it at startup. However, that would mean that I would have to fix the size of /home. In case I run short of space in /home, but have a lot of space in some other partitions, do I make a seperate directory somewhere else (in /usr) and create a symblic link to it in my $HOME, or is there a way to resize /home by taking some space from other partitions without destroying data on them?
Thank you.
