Hello all,
I have a PIII 850 Mhz m/c with Mandrake 10. I have
Prolink Pixelview TV tuner card with FM Radio.
1. As root I am able to load the bttv and tuner
modules using modprobe. But I am unable to set it in
the modules.conf, so that they are loaded
automatically.
(If I use xawtv as a normal user, it says open
/dev/v4l/video0 :Permission denied. How can I overcome
this problem?
2. I am interested in recording the programs and
burning them as vcds. I have 10 GB sace free on my 20
GB hdd.
How can I capture, then convert into MPEG format and
burn. What are the tools to be used?
