I got Slack 10 CD's burned at my friend's place. It has only 2.4.26 Kernel . But I saw www.linuxcdrom.co.nr advertising slak10 with 2.6 series kernel. Which is correct. Ok, my two CD Slack 10 is installed and working fine. i just wanted to know which is the correct official version.
slackware 10 comes with 2.6.7 in cd 2 - the sources and binaries are in the directory testing/packages/linux-2.6.7
You have to install it separately, after booting into 2.4.27 (the default kernel). Slackware 10 doesn't give you the option of using a 2.6 kernel at install time.
