anyone with basic understanding of html, can identify
that anchor tag begins before <td> tag, and ends after
<td> tag. In simple words <td> tag is embeded inside
anchor tag and gecko based browsers are unable to
renders it whereas IE is able to render it. So i changed the code to following(on local machine)
and it worked.
<td align="center" class="box" bgcolor="#990000" style="cursor:hand" title="Home"><a href="http://content.icicidirect.com/home.asp"; ><font class="text">home</font></td></a>
