Hello, Has anybody got the Microsoft intellimouse to work in Linux ? I am not able to get my wheel mouse to work in Linux (fedora core 2). It was working in redhat 8.0 quite well. But now even when I changed the configuration data, I am not able to scroll pages using the wheel.The mouse works perfectly in all other aspects with the settings given below.
Obviously the server is X instead of XFree86 and so there is a difference in the configuration files too.
My /etc/X11/xorg.conf file's Input section is as follows:
Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Mouse0" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no" EndSection
I use the Microsoft optical intellimouse with exactly the same xorg.conf config as yours, and it works well in FC2 for me.
What is the contents of /etc/sysconfig/mouse in your system?
