Also Included in -cko is the Staircase Scheduler by Con Kolivas http://kernel.kolivas.org Much simpler than O(1) and offers better interactivity for Desktop Systems. Plus, there's the CFQ (Completely Fair Queuing )Block I/O Scheduler by Jens Axboe. The latest version of which supports Write I/O Priorities. On the whole the -cko patchset is great for Desktop Systems. Another alternative is the -nitro patchset. -cko is used in Yoper Linux, (claims to be ) the fastest Linux Distro !!
