After yet another attempt, to get graphics working on this 915G, I
still have not been able to get it working.

I got hold of the the Debian Uniklu package's xserver-xfree86, and
tried using it, but I constantly got a "drmOpenFailed". So, I went to
dri.sf.net, and followed a link to get the Debian dri sources. Now, it
has, apparently, installed Xorg on my system. The log
/var/log/Xorg.log.0 file gives me the following lines:

(II) I810(0): [dri] visual configs initialized
...
(II) I810(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler
(II) I810(0): [DRI] installation complete

However, I get a very poor frame rate (~330 fps) with glxgears.

Could you suggest anything further?

Thank you.

Kumar
