Well, LIH does not probably have the coverage of your local LUG; your best bet is to try the LUG listings at http://www.linux-india.org/ and look up the one closest to you. I can see an Ahmedabad LUG listed - I suggest you ask there for CDs. You probably ought to start with Fedora Core4, but that is simply my opinion. If Ahmedabad LUG doesn't work out, then try the Mumbai one - which is very vibrant and helpful (first-hand experience). Or Pune. Somebody or other will certainly be willing to send you CDs. And while you are at it, maybe you should start a Bhavnagar LUG. CD swapping, chai-samosa-discussion sessions etc. to begin with :) I'm sure Bhavnagar can use its own LUG.
