Uh? So? Anyway, why do you think webmin is clumsy? There are a few Web
Admin control panel type things on freshmeat.net (but mostly aimed at
web hosting). If those don't meet your needs, you need to write them
yourself.
Personally, Check the config into SVN, and have a script check it out.

Version control system either for system administration or system
